Today our team, alongside the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education, held a consultative session with BOTSWANA SECTORS OF EDUCATORS TRADE UNION (BOSETU). The session was led by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, CEO of EIMC, President of BOSETU, Secretary General of BOSETU and representatives of the Botswana Teachers’ Union (BTU).

Today our team, alongside the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education, held a consultative session with BOTSWANA SECTORS OF EDUCATORS TRADE UNION (BOSETU). The session was led by Mmamiki Kamanakao, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry; Chandada Masendu-Kusane, CEO of EIMC; Winston Radikolo, President of BOSETU; and Tobokani Rari, Secretary General of BOSETU. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Botswana Teachers’ Union (BTU): President Agang Gabana, Deputy President Tjalebgwa Bagwasi, and Secretary General Norman Bareedi.As we work to improve school facilities and their management, we place our partners at the centre of the process, including through ongoing consultation with teachers and teacher organisations. Our implementation plan is informed by the lived experiences of those who work in classrooms. Strengthening collaboration with educators is therefore essential to improving both the teaching environment and the overall learning experience for all our learners.
