Imagine a classroom where the walls no longer define how far a child can learn. ![]()

A classroom where learners can connect with other schools for cross-learning, where a teacher can bring a lesson to life through a Smart Board and visualiser, and where access to knowledge is not limited by the number of textbooks available. Imagine a learning environment that is increasingly interactive, connected and inclusive, with technology providing additional tools to support learners, including children with visual and hearing disabilities. Today, that vision is taking shape at Mophane Primary School, where a Smart Classroom donated by Grant Thornton Botswana has been officially handed over, benefiting approximately 1,050 learners. For these learners, this Smart Classroom is more than technology. It is a window to the world, opening access to knowledge, new ideas, collaboration and possibilities beyond their immediate environment. The donation, made through Grant Thornton’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, supports EIMC’s mandate to digitalise and modernise Botswana’s public schools, while demonstrating what can be achieved through strategic partnerships and resource mobilisation. This is what modernising education infrastructure looks like: creating environments that enable teachers and expand the possibilities of learning. ![]()
