The Education Infrastructure and Management Company – EIMC has launched ‘Ke Abela Sekolo’, a flagship resource mobilisation campaign to transform Botswana’s public schools through private-sector and philanthropic partnerships.

More than a fundraiser, the campaign is a long-term platform addressing priority infrastructure needs via targeted vehicles, starting with the Winter Doors and Windows Campaign. This initiative will install functional doors and windows to improve learner safety and protect children from harsh conditions.

The FNB Botswana Foundation has become the inaugural private-sector partner, committing P800,000 to refurbish 20 public schools across Botswana’s northern, central and southern regions. On 16 July 2026, FNB employees will join EIMC, artisans and volunteers to install the fittings at selected schools.

“Ke Abela Sekolo represents an innovative partnership model for Botswana’s education sector. We look forward to welcoming more partners as we create safer, more inclusive learning environments,” said the EIMC Board Chairperson, Tebogo Sebego.
