In a powerful display of corporate-social synergy, Orange Botswana has partnered with the Education Infrastructure and Management Company (EIMC) to transform the learning environment at Molepolole Primary School. The initiative, launched earlier this month, targeted critical infrastructure and digital gaps that have long hampered educational delivery in the village.

The collaboration saw Orange Botswana deploy its “Digital Schools” program, installing a high-speed fiber network and providing 30 tablets pre-loaded with educational software. Meanwhile, EIMC mobilized volunteers to refurbish three dilapidated classrooms, repaint walls, and establish a fully stocked library. Over 150 learners now have access to reliable internet for the first time, bridging the urban-rural digital divide.

“This is about more than connectivity; it is about unlocking potential,” said Orange Botswana’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. “By partnering with EIMC, we ensure that the hardware is supported by robust educational frameworks.”

EIMC’s Project Lead added, “We focused on teacher training as well. We conducted a two-day workshop to ensure educators are confident in integrating these new digital tools into their daily lessons.”

The school’s headteacher expressed profound gratitude, noting that attendance has already seen a noticeable uptick as students are eager to use the new resources. The partnership plans to extend the program to two additional schools by the end of the fiscal year, solidifying a long-term commitment to Botswana’s future leaders.
