The Government of Botswana has launched the Education Infrastructure and Management Company (EIMC) to modernize the nation’s schools. This new agency will oversee over 1,000 public schools, including primary and secondary institutions. As a government-owned company, the EIMC aims to improve classroom safety, water and electricity systems, and internet access. By centralizing maintenance and construction, the agency ensures that all students—regardless of their region—learn in high-quality environments. This initiative is a key part of Botswana’s national plan to build a digital-ready and competitive workforce for the future
